For the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology (SVIN) conference, Rapid MedicalTM required engaging promotional artwork for their Drivewire product. The project consisted of designing both tall and short event posters. The goal was to seamlessly blend a lively “Havana Nights” aesthetic with corporate medical branding while highlighting specific campaign messaging like “CAPTURE THE MOMENT” and “RESHAPE. NAVIGATE. DELIVER.”
Challenge
Merging a festive tropical theme with a technical medical device meant keeping the guidewire prominent without it feeling out of place, while balancing neon elements and street scenes against fully legible typography across both poster sizes.
The primary obstacle was finding a way to naturally merge a festive, tropical party theme with a highly technical medical device. I needed to feature the Drivewire guidewire prominently without making it feel disconnected from the Havana-inspired setting. The glowing neon elements and stylized street scenes also required careful balancing to ensure the typography remained completely legible across the different poster sizes and layouts.
Solution
Glowing wireframe lines form a stylized street scene, with the Drivewire centered so its curves naturally echo the environment. Neon-inspired typography completes a cohesive, energetic visual package.
I designed a dynamic background using glowing wireframe lines to illustrate a stylized street scene leading toward mountains and palm trees. I then integrated the Drivewire graphic directly into the center of the composition, allowing its curved shape to perfectly mimic the sweeping lines of the environment. Bright, neon-inspired typography was applied to complete the look, resulting in a cohesive and exciting visual package.
